The Smiths were seated front and center, the same spot they’ve put people like DiCaprio, Hanks, Roberts, Bullock, Clooney and Nicholson-superstars who are pros, who they know they can count on for a good reaction shot, who will be engaged throughout the show and who they know can take it on the chin if someone makes a

The normalization of this is twisted and insane.

Diddy was so smooth!  Seriously, he handled that amazingly well.

A joke about a movie star sitting front row at the Oscars is not punching down.

Isn’t making tasteless jokes at the expense of people sitting in the front of the audience 95% of the hosts’ jobs?  Go look at some of the stuff they used to throw at Jack Nicholson or Warren Beatty.

Really, it’s understandable that a major movie star nominated for the big award of the night punches a host on live TV for a 100% standard issue roast of his very public figure/movie star wife?

My eight year old is recently obsessed with Hairspray and Amanda Bynes as Penny Pingleton in particular. I’m so glad she seems to have turned a corner.

Ha, this jumped out at me too. I can’t tell if this show is supposed to be at all realistic or if it’s the sort of magical realism of Park and Rec, but, yeah, there would be no public transportation in a place like this. They could still have a story about car sharing-like maybe someone’s car broke down and they

Yes? Or not home sometimes?

Wow, this is creepy. What a weirdo.

Having your website crash because you didn’t plan for a spike in traffic on the Super Bowl was an understandable problem for EDS when they ran the Cat Herders ad in the Super Bowl in 2001.

Israel won’t extradite its citizens so he’s safe as long as he doesn’t leave.

I’m afraid we have entered the second of Jez’s “YAS KWEEN!” eras. Stay tuned for fawning coverage of Cardi B and 5000 word essays on why Normani is the new Queen of Pop.

Gen X may never get a president, but we finally got a half time show.

Did you ever watch the short-lived HBO show, “I’m Dying Up Here” about stand-up comics in LA in the mid-70s? The stand-up was painfully bad, and it was the cornerstone of the show it just made it unwatchable.

I wonder what was “important and needed” by Kim Cattrall that they absolutely couldn’t accommodate, since they let Cynthia Nixon have free rein on a complete reimagining of Miranda?

So this storyline that Cynthia Nixon pushed for and closely mirrors Cynthia Nixon’s own real life is really nothing like Cynthia Nixon, despite Cynthia Nixon speaking about the similarities to her own real life.

It doesn’t seem like anyone objects to Miranda leaving Steve. But Cynthia Nixon explaining it was “neither side (was) happy” makes no sense, since, in the show, Steve specifically says he is happy and content and comfortable.

Was Cynthia Nixon this much of an asshole when she left her husband for Rojo Caliente?
