SSD's should have come with the last gen of consoles. Even if it was just the operating system on a small one. The Pro and One X definitely should have had them. I've had them in computers since 2012, this shouldn't feel like a leap in 2020 when it's been around for a decade.

What makes it look upscale, the minimalism? 

I traded in my PS3 for an Xbox One and too never used it. It has finally gotten use this crappy year as I gave it to a friend so we could play Warzone as I had a gaming pc. I still miss my PS3.

You can get the games on PC so no need for an xbox. 

The S is still terrible value compared to the X, eventually you will be asked to buy the memory expansion for $200 and then you will have paid the same as the X for a worse system. Plus you get a dvd/blueray player for entertainment in the X.
