I was wondering the same thing...what's the point of encouraging devs to think beyond what a GPU or PS5 can output, if the end result has to be scaled back to output on those devices? Especially if it's not streaming or cloud computing on the player side. Really doesn't make sense.

Wasn’t this the same idea Crackdown 3 had? Offloading everything to “the cloud” is certainly one way to make DDoS attacks way more effective.

I really don’t want bigger games. I’m already not touching Valhalla (despite loving Assassin’s Creed), because it’s so daunting (and disrespectful of my time... at least going by previous games).

lol throw your phone into the ocean if you’re big mad about China, bucko

Oh shush, Epic are fine and have one of the best game engines in the business.

Why are those people wondering? It seems fairly obvious why!

u w0t m8 1v1 me bro

A lot of these guys are huge Star Trek fans as well which always struct me as odd given that the Federation is also a socialist utopia

I also noted that Phil Spencer’s acceptance speech also called out leaders who fail because they don’t address workplace harassment and abuse. It was nice to see, but it fell flat when the host not two segments after him was Randy fucking Pitchford.

I’ll be honest: I’m glad GOTG underperformed, even if only by Square’s completely unreal standards. I am still salty over the cancellation of the Deus Ex sequel, and this might - MIGHT - cause the studio to go back to that franchise. Sure enough, Eidos Montreal’s titles are nowhere near as good as the original Deus

The Guardians of the Galaxy was so damn good. Just a solid & incredibly enjoyable single player experience coupled with some all-time great character writing. Haven’t felt that satisfied completing a game in ages, but I put down the controller and sighed in contentment. More games that do that, please. If you haven’t

I think one of the graces of Dark Souls is that you don’t have to dig into the story unless you want to. Nobody’s holding a gun to your head expecting you to dive down the wiki wormhole.

People who have played fromsoft games for a long time have an easier job parsing through the lore, just like with mastering the gameplay. The same comparison holds for community, there are always new things being discovered, even years later. Its also true of the difficulty curve, where both gameplay and

After playing through “It Takes Two” and constantly having godawful cutscenes and terrible constant dialogue shoved down my throat for extended periods in between short segments of fantastic gameplay, I welcome the Fromsoft approach of being almost pure gameplay with the story being something that you don’t have to

Man, I think we all assumed EA/DICE would apparently completely miss why this game severely underperformed and...man were we right.

alas, yelling at clouds will still not get them to know nor realize nor care.

I actually had a blast with the game as it was, played through twice as a maniac speccing in Body and Engineering (fists, bat, shotgun, grenades, open all doors with ease!) and again as a netrunner hacking away at everyone. My problem now is that after doing it twice I don’t know if I’m down to give it a third go in

This isn’t fantasy, it’s basically a porn parody.

Also the fantasy genre has been rife with misogyny and sexism, to this day, it is a huge issue, so what ever point you’re trying to make, it is missing its mark by a mile.
