Arkane on Elder Scrolls I would like to see, I actually forgot how much I wanted that to happen when I first played Dishonored. They already made that Might & Magic game that was kind of like a linear Elder Scrolls. Dishonored’s combat blended with the openness of Elder Scrolls would be a great mix.

Speaking of Painkiller, Witchfire - a game that was announced awhile back and promptly fell off the map - reminds me a lot of Painkiller.

I would too, but no way would I want Arkane’s talent wasted on Fallout. I like Fallout, but I’d rather see Arkane come up with a new IP, or Prey 2, or more Dishonored. Ha

Sure. and it wouldn’t surprise me that’s ultimately the reason why they held this one back for a bit--The pandemic just hit for a lot of people and game that’s essentially “oh actually things get worse and will likely never get better” probably isn’t a good sell.

Angry nerds will bitch about anything in games that would make them actually think and analize at a deeper level because how dare devs deprive us of instant gratification and self gloating. Not much different from boomers complaining about real world issues influencing comicbooks.

Right.  the game seems to be doubling down on what I think the first game should have done better, which is questioning the violence and the idea that “the ends justify the means” as well as gamer’s own complicity in said violence.

Something to keep in mind, even if you are exposed to the leaks, is that the plot description is the usual “bullet points written by someone with a grudge” that you’d expect to see right now.
