I don’t know, Eden Hazard regularly took the ball at midfield and was able to get past multiple French players (which he also did against Brazil) while taking some serious fouls and staying on his feet. Mbappe was great, but Hazard was the best and most exciting player in the match today.

I’m all for covering people of power abusing their power, especially for heinous crimes like rape. But given how long ago this happened, the complete lack of evidence available to the public, and the fact that the case never even went to trial, doesn’t this feel like a witch hunt?

Four stories in fewer than 24 hours. At what point does it cease to be journalism and start to be advocacy?

No one knew about this incident. How would anyone know to randomly look into Texas indictments about a case that was never brought to court? Why weren’t you reporting on this years ago? Oh, I know, because you didn’t know about it either until you knew exactly what to search for and where to search for it.

Yet I was greyed from Deadspin for questioning whether a police report from 22 years ago that didn’t result in any charges is really newsworthy, and is worthy of a blog post from the person considered the most accomplished writer for Deadspin. I was taking the unpopular side, but shouldn’t that be allowed a voice?
