My guess is that it’s distracting to the drivers.
I have a hard time looking at photos if someone else is holding the phone - someone else’s shaking hands makes it hard to see details - so I’d want to hold the phone myself.

I agree that it’s a 4th gen. I think he got hit in front of the firewall, which is lucky because I’m not sure the door would have done much to protect the driver from a dump truck. My first car was a ‘91 Accord.

I just realized I wasn’t clear in my first sentence (in that I prefer the look of the 124 to the Miata) and I can’t really figure out why someone would buy the Miata now.
So, other than the fact that the Miata looks like a stoned cat, why would I want the Fiat 124 over it? Or what would make someone overcome the day-after-binge-drinking face on the Miata to choose it?

I’ve got a 2013 Focus Titanium hatch that I cross shopped with the ST (after eliminating the other challengers) quite hard. I bought the lesser of the cars because , after financing rates, it was 12k less. Slightly irked (but mostly happy) that the ST costs less than what my Focus cost me.
How did this only get low double digits but “EMALS” had over 800 (at COTD announcement)?
