As someone who works in the Roadside Assistance industry, I too hate that spare tires are becoming less and less common. Hey, now instead of plugging that hole, your tire sealant kit has ruined your tire and you need to replace it!

It does if the car driver isn’t granted a chance to be made aware of the motorcycle. It’s not normal to react to something coming from behind you.

There’s a difference to reacting AT 25mph and reacting to something going 25mph faster, especially when you’re likely doing 50mph already. Smaller movements on the wheel are bigger movements on the road and take less time to perform/are less predictable.

If a bike is traveling so much faster than the car, it could be hard to see them in the mirrors. If the car happened to move over in the lane (for whatever reason) and bumped the bike while he was splitting lanes... One could argue that the driver of the car wasn’t aware of the motorcycle, even if he was checking his…

I will neither agree nor disagree with your statement (I just don’t know enough to make a valid opinion), but I am proud to say that he still belongs to that generation. He’s over 90 now and he’s the last of this generation in my family, too.
