I hope we get some lore about the mad freaking scientist who just up and decided one day to transplant a dragon heart into a giant-ass bear. “Screw your magic, this is science, bitches!”

That makes me want to make a parody RPG with only one stat called “Gud” that buffs everything, and you level it up with “Gits”.
Even during end-game play, I found myself avoiding those runebears. I never sufficiently leveled my Gud stat...
SPOILER WARNING FOR THE FIRST BOOKS:
Right? I could read a very large amount about that lovely jock.
It makes a ton more sense on the second read through. Also, the audio book narrator is phenomenal, so it's totally worth listening to that if you've already read it.
This very much makes sense once you’ve read the book. You can imagine how it seemed like it could’ve been a transitional prologue to another book but that book would end up feeling lopsided and be 1,000 pages long.
It’s a really fun read, and I enjoyed it a lot. The only downside is waiting another year for Alecto.
SPOILERS - Its a bit complicated...
SPOILERS FOR HARROW THE NINTH
Alecto the Ninth was planned to be the third book originally.
In the myriadic year of Our Lord—the ten thousandth year of the King Undying, the kindly Prince of Death!—Gideon Nav packed her sword, her shoes, and her dirty magazines, and she escaped from the House of the Ninth.
I swear it was “Alecto” when I pre-ordered it but now the Amazon page says I have pre-ordered this one. Wikipedia says the trilogy has become a quadrology and Alecto will be the 4th and that seems to be backed up by a tor.com press release from a little while back.
Oh my gosh, thank you! This series needs a bigger following.
Is this a different book or wasn’t there another title originally? Like Alecto the Ninth?
I’m looking forward to this so hard, but I could have done with another 4-5 books with Griddle as the protagonist.
totally immune yeah that’s what this makes me think....
He's really not. He's average intelligence at best. Having money doesn't make you "bright," it just means you can hire people to think for you. Which he's done.
Pssst I dont know if you missed it, the newspaper only being around for about 400 years, but Op-Ed’s and editorials have been part of the news paper since the beginning.
It’s also possible the photo is from early 2013 because the cleanup was slow.
Go to a news site, not a blog, dummie.
