Really, really going to miss this column. It’s the last of what the AV Club used to be like. Very excited for your Age of Heroes column next!

Syllabus for Franco’s Sex Scenes Class
Man, if women can’t feel safe in a James Franco Sex Scene class, where can they feel safe?
They also made the Bravely series, which included the ability to turn off encounters entirely. I’m sure they will implement modern QoL jRPG upgrades like that.
I hadn’t heard from the game before I read this comment, but what you’re saying is what I wanted to say, too. It’s especially impressive compared to the Bloodstained trailer above, which does not exactly look cheap, but jarring — as if they had felt an obligation to be more ‘modern’, but had no idea how to make that…
The way it mixes a classic aesthetic with some excellent modern touches is something other developers should take note of. Don’t just make games that look like old ones; use them as the foundation and add flourishes that make it better.
As far as I know, it’s a common complaint. I guess they have time to take this feedback into account and to implement a encounter slider.
Nintendo’s official twitter posted a behind-the-scenes video in December which calls Octopath Traveller a 2018 release.
I’m pretty sure it’s been announced as a 2018 game, I believe when they released the demo.
I’m excited for this too, though I don’t think we yet have confirmation that it’s a 2018 game. Considering its developer, there’s a chance that we won’t see it until 2019. On the other hand, that demo was in a very good state, so perhaps it’ll be released sooner rather than later.
Project Octopath Traveler on Switch.
He sounds like someone who just brings Peter down with bad news and pessimism.
I absolutely *was* a weird building.
Oh, I agree on that. They lost me with the latest two episodes and especially with this weird and disconnected storyline.
I’ll admit to guffawing, but it was mostly disbelief. The whole Frank plot has turned back into a live action cartoon. Like it feels like they’re writing him a the comedy relief, except he’s not funny. He’s just a horrible person.
I think I’d have been more onboard if Frank hadn’t spent the start of the season in a nuanced story punching the myth of the American Dream, y’know?
Myles, you’re one of my top 3 favorite TV reviewers.
“You impregnated her?” “With science, Mr. Skinner. Alien science.”
Carter, you’ve lost your damn mind.
There is a shot when the grandfather has a heart attack that shows the mom can remove the filter on the tablet without turning it off, so she can see what her daughter can’t. It was optional to begin with. And the whole thing ended up getting banned.
