Negative, the 2008 Taurus had the 3.5 duratech. From what I understand they are relatively reliable engines. Old Taurus’ (2nd Generation wagons and police vehicles) had the 3.8.

What I mean is most 40+ year olds are looking for an affordable, comfortable car to haul their wife and kids around in. Some of these 40+ year olds might want turbo manual awd performance, so that really limits their options. All they really have in that regard is Subaru. Friggin Subaru limits your options to a wrx…

What if there was a much more practical 2.4 legacy gt manual right next to it on the lot? I bet they’d be very inclined to take that for a testdrive as well.

Thank you for being one of the few that knew where I was coming from. Subaru needs to know that it’s not only 17 to 25 year olds that want a WRX or a manual turbo awd platform.  I want seamless performance with good comfort.  The wrx is not a comfortable car by any means.

I just got out of a 2015 wrx, my 2nd wrx, loved it but I would have gotten a legacy turbo manual if they had one. This is all I’m trying to say.

I really wish they would stop pushing the wrx on mid-aged people. If this had a manual and a proper sport suspension and the 2.4GT logo it would probably steal the customers I see driving new wrx’s. Alot of them are 40+ year old men.

I wish they put more of the S front styling into the 3. I own a 3 and I still look at the front and say “Man I wish they paid a bit more attention to it” But the way the car looks otherwise, I’m fully happy with.

Can’t say I fully agree.  I can agree the front end is a but goofy looking but overall it’s very striking.

My neighbor has a really nice 2015 f-150 and an rzr for the 1 time a year he and his buddies drive to West Virginia to go ATVing. Otherwise, the f-150 never sees the light of day, such a waste.
