Technically the XT will make a return. Subaru is slated to retire the 3.6 engine, sadly, and replace it with the 2.0T.

I went CP on this because 90's GM, but this was actually a handsome car for its time and it kind of has stood the test of time, still not bad to look at. The engine is kind of cool too, I forgot that GM pulled their heads out of their asses every now and then and made OHC v engines.

They’re going to sell a fuck-ton of these things, you watch and see.

I absolutely despise large SUVs but I will say that it’s so nice to see the clunky, gawdy, Escalade dethroned.

This car is definitely a future classic. I can totally see that price justified for someone else but me, personally, I have always disliked these things. They were grossly overpriced, very polarizing in the looks dept. and It just looks cheap inside and out. I can imagine the interior surfaces making that 2000's GM…

Not sure you’re speaking for the majority here. I respect your opinion, but
I disagree. A vehicle’s safety rating sells the car and as a matter of fact, it is important, I would like to know that the car I’m sitting in has a focus on my safety as well as my passenger’s.

I actually contacted this guy on youtube because I was intrigued. He told me the custom mounts for the engine fit nicely. He obviously put alot of time into this swap but I think the asking price is just too much. You can probably get a subie flat 6 from a junkyard for a grand, max!

Why can’t they just take the fa/fb series 2.5 litre and massage it the same way the 2.0 is, no turbo needed and more displacement added?

If they put a 50m pricetag on this car it would still sell out before it went on sale.
