If I were guilty as sin, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to testify about it either. Of course I would also be wanting to avoid being first to the guillotine for not cooperating too. It is guillotining time, people.

I have seen both sides. I have seen non-gamers consider all forms of gaming to be immature and that their partner should just stop. But I have also seen gamers who seem to think they can have a healthy relationship with someone while dedicating 40 hours a week to gaming

It’d come down to how well they’re integrated with the game’s other systems, really.

Technically even ole Cranky Kong is part of a metaverse, given Super Smash Bros.

Now here’s an idea with some merit.

You can ride an elevator to the top of some. Whatever you are imagining, the true experience is far less exciting.

If you’re currently a PS Now subscriber then Sony sends thugs to your house to rough you up for asking too many questions.

I’m doing a dex/int build and just got my first whip.  I was intrigued about trying it, but the numbers looked low. Maybe I’ll sink some stones into it and give it a shot.

Great for staggers but long wind-ups, and you suffer when someone has enough poise to tank hits while they slam you with their big 2h weapon. Still, loved using the 2h petal (not the name but minor detail spoiler) whip while taking out some bosses. That stagger alone really helped me survive through much of the

finally whips are good? as someone who has been trying to use them through dark souls history, hey, i like castlevania, and they usually aren’t great, so glad to hear they finally work (also used the threaded cane in bb, and that was a much better experience.)

My roommate laughed at me - an enthusiastic practitioner of S&M and not shy about it - when I started just fuckin’ unironically using a whip in my build.

I don’t even watch the Grammys or any other of tehse boring ass shows. If I want to watch self-congratulatory masturbation I’d watch, well the Grammys I guess.

Glorifying this incredibly toxic artist, who is well past his prime—and attempting to ensconce his essence with academia is intellectually disingenuous. You cannot separate his recent threats and behavior from his art, and when it all goes south, he won’t be worth studying at all. He will just be tossed in the dustbin

The problem with that is it loses the whole “role-playing” part of an RPG if your choices have effectively no... well effect as is increasingly the case in Bethesda’s products and it’s made worse because New Vegas shows you don’t have to close off content if the writing and design is good enough to allow you to

Lovely work. The key, along with memorizing any given bosses pattern is to stay calm which he’s clearly doing. I think we tend to get into a habit of trying to roll constantly and it just fucks you up. You can feel his calm/”only roll when necessary” approach and it’s awesome. Much harder to do in real life.

I just don’t want to be one of those fans that’s all “This is the best game and every single person is going to love it!” No, it’s a great game for many people but there are some design choices that aren’t universally loved.

I just got all the Steam achievements for Elden Ring last night, which I don’t think I’ve ever done with a game this close to release. So obviously I had a fun time playing this. Imo the open world was very well done, and all of the legacy dungeons lived up to previous Dark Souls games and then some. I particularly

the important thing is if you are still enjoying the game, more than 30 hours in and that’s when I beat the first “major boss”, by the way when you do, you will get an item, read the tutorial tip and then its description, once you did all that and got it equipped, you have to use a “rune arc” to actually activate it,

And here I am still in Limgrave at 20 hrs.

Man, I’m a bit surprised this wasn’t just an article stating, “Don’t play it until DICE finishes the game they sold consumers.”
