He's the thing that left buning 28 foot high letters of his last message to all of creation:
WE APOLOGISE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE

(oy, I went from memory. What is it?)

Favourite joke thread.

What do you like? Because I love Hitchhikers and Bill Bryson and can't imagine them being a chore.

My friend Kate read the first the other day and didn't like it. I was stunned. But she said it was just jokes strung together and there wasn't a string emotional core and the plot was scrappy.

I can't think of how many comic book spin offs that is true for.

You can hit certain nerve clusters to make you vomit (the gag reflex is one, the solar plexus another), and you can stimulate muscle groups with elecrticity like tasers do. People hit with tasers have been known to vomit, so i'd imagine that's where you'd start

Never heard of it, but will check out

Speaking of cool gun moves, I watched Tombstone the other day. Some bad dude is staring down Doc Holliday and does numerous flips and twirls and tricks with his gun. Doc finishes his mug of booze and does the same tricks with the mug.

My Salt story.

Wrong. The only good part is the 3 way fight at the end. Ray Park and Ewen McGregor went for it so hard they had to slow it down to make it seem realer

I will share my Die Another Day theory, which rescues it somewhat.

Yeah, but Pirates is almost pure garbage

You think that's bad? There's a Harry Palmer movie (Michael Caine as the opposite of James Bond: a seedy, charmless spy) called The Billion Dollar Brain that's essentially a computer that can take over the world but it's doing it with a room sized reel to reel

I love, love, love, love the way they put Star Wars on as a play for the kids. It gives it such an amazing tie to the world.

An AV Club award for the most incredible "OK" movie of the year would be interesting. Run down the top 15 every year.

I also liked "sick sticks" the weapon in minority report where they could poke you and you vomit.

I wanna say bullet time actually started in an ad, and was picked up by the Matrix.

We should get them on MWOF.

Infernal Affairs pisses all over The Departed. There is not one bit as tense as when he's tapping his ring finger on the window nervously and it pans out to a microphone that he's relaying morse code on.
