Caan did some lovely work in “Cinderella Liberty” and it’s a pity he didn’t get more gigs like that. Also worth noting is that he essentially played Harlan Ellison in his semi-autobiographical “Alfred Hitchcock Hour” episode ‘Memo From Purgatory’ (penned by Ellison).

It’s really a shame how TV recaps/reviews have all but vanished from the AV Club. Some of the better ones made for reading that was almost as entertaining as the shows themselves.

People will try to act like this is just natural, it’s what audiences want. But that of course ignores that studios (Disney especially) have become overly restrictive with theaters, not allowing any say in the amount of screens they can show their movies and for how long. I mean she’s doing motion capture and voiceover work. Pretty sure almost every actor who has ever done that has portrayed a character that was not their exact age and body type. Cause otherwise they would just do regular live acting instead.

If they implemented a bug quota, then yes I’m blaming the QA firm. Instead of concentrating on the unplayable shit that takes a while to investigate, everyone went for the low hanging fruit because if they didn’t fill the quota they wouldn’t be called back.

If Netflix wants to be more relevant, they need to ditch the bingeable season model. It was interesting 5 years ago when they were the only real player, but it’s not working with the likes of Disney, HBO, Apple putting out quality content.
