“Told nonlinearly”

Apple pointedly notes that it sells a bunch of other devices that do all of the same stuff that the iPod Touch does,

Now playing

I hope it has a scene at least as half as weird as this one from eXistence:

Is this a good review? Pretty objectively no. Does your choice to completely fabricate points that it in no way made and then use those made up points to get mad make it better? Lord, no.

In Matt Smith’s finale episode, the Doctor’s people granted him a new cycle of lives. They're good for like nine or ten more actors at least.

I’m torn because HR exists to protect the company, not the employees. It’s my personal opinion that people in situations like Critifur’s are best off looking for employment somewhere else - at least from the horror stories I’ve heard. But I also strongly believe nothing can change unless you speak up and say

First Evan Rachel Wood makes all of those accusations against the guy who played Paul, and now this. I never thought I’d have to say this, but maybe Wayne was right all along. Maybe they really were buttheads.

The world needs to see this.

The one good thing that came of this story was someone paying Dana Snyder to read the tweet as Master Shake on Cameo.

I mean, they could’ve just ripped off the ending to Hannibal’s third season, and that would’ve been infinitely better than the one they went with.

Because that’s how public companies are supposed to work. CEOs have a fiduciary duty to “maximize shareholder value.” This is the logical endpoint. This is late-stage capitalism. Feature, not bug, etc.

Netflix has a god awful strategy for building its content library and I’m constantly amazed that their Chief Content Officer (Ted Sarandos) continues to have a job.

a replica gun that actually functioned as a knife.

I wonder what back-in-the-day AVC commenter John Frankensteiner has to say about them remaking his Rock Hudson movie.

ADs TAKING OVER FULL SCREEN AND AUDIO DO NOT MESH WITH STREAMING LIVE. When will they learn this? Everyone hates it and finds ways to get rid of it not just by subscribing. And if you want more ads then lower revenue for the streamer from subs WTF?

It’s interesting to see them so hellbent on making Twitch that much more hostile for everyone involved.

People are served notices at their job everyday. She shouldn’t get a special exception because she directed Booksmart.

It varies, but the communities I’m in try to avoid prerolls where possible because first join disengagement is non-trivial if they’re greeted with a 30-60 second ad instead of content. The system is also sketchy and will often play the preroll ads again simply because the viewer refreshed the page.

Goosio!
