Criterion Channel shuffles things in and out regularly, depending on what companies they have deals with, but they do always let you know what’s leaving at the end of the month and that can be a nice incentive to catch something you hadn’t seen yet.

That’s overstating the case. They’re often hard to navigate because they insist on grouping things in weird algorithmic categories, and the actual streaming quality is wildly inconsistent.

I really love that pretty much the instant it was announced that RTD was coming back as showrunner, he went on record saying he was 1000% pro-trans rights and saw it exactly the same as the gay rights struggle, etc. The man does not hold back and I’m glad for it.

She does remind me of Clara a bit, yeah. Not that that’s a bad thing.

Broadchurch really should have just been one season. It’s a perfectly fine story with a beginning, middle, and end, but the reception was so good that they continued it and like, well no.

Hugh Grant kinda steals that one but everybody’s good. I don’t know when he decided to pivot to playing sleazebags but it’s absolutely brilliant.

I mean he’s not wrong

I know Wall Street loves mergers and this news will make both companies’ number go up, and I don’t have an MBA, but I don’t see how two struggling businesses both loaded with debt merging doesn’t result in some kind of fiscal black hole.

Surprised not to see Street Fighter 6 up here, it seems to have been kinda forgotten about. The work it did to make a fighting game that’s accessible to newcomers is impressive, down to putting in an entire single-player beat-em-up campaign in there that’s legit fun and worth the purchase price by itself. Also some

Yeah I’m not interested. If they’d just admitted Netflix thought Newton had a bit more star power or whatever that’d be one thing, this is throwing talent under the bus.

This is just shocking and sad. He was so good.

I suspect it may be something along the lines of wanting to show Napoleon as brashly making his mark on history, placing himself alongside the world’s great conquerors, while not being entirely heedful of the consequences. Is he an Emperor or a vandal? That sort of thing. Or maybe he knows exactly what he’s doing and

I can’t wait. He’s enjoying himself so much on screen, his first full story’s gonna be a blast.

Biopics are allowed to take liberties for the sake of the story they’re telling- which is not the same as the factual story of the person’s life.

Why not? Napoleon being an Egyptophile isn’t relevant to the story.

Wait did Righteous Gemstones not make the list? HOW?

Godzilla making #3 in what was seemingly a limited release is nice to see.

I mean it’s not a question of emotional maturity, Son of Godzilla is just better made.

What would be showing his motivation to you? He takes actions that are consistent with that motive.
