I imagine it’s some combination, like maybe they mostly use clay for the surfaces and faces/mouths etc. 

Does Laika use clay? Not all stop motion does, like the Harryhausen films and King Kong and the like all used rubber on metal armatures.

I found the line “there was no mention of the killings” oddly touching. Like on the one hand it’s America burying the story and forgetting about it, but at the same time maybe Mollie’s legacy wasn’t just about a horrible crime committed against her family and her people. She lived a life beyond that.

Doesn’t admitting they were right effectively mean admitting you wasted everyone’s time (and shareholders’ money) by trying to starve them out?

That’s what I’ve heard, they were both in the studio and neither could hit it so Stiff just used the old one.

The original wasn’t that much older, but it got kinda buried by a strike at Stiff’s distributor so Kirsty was happy to give it a second chance. (Even sang backup!)

There’s a lot that’s changed, there’s a surge of support for organized labor, both unions striking together made it a little easier, there was a bit more support from others, and I think there was just more general knowledge that the current way of things was completely unsustainable.

I’m perfectly okay with hearing this again so long as it’s not at a bar. (Ditto “Sweet Caroline”.)

I should preface this by saying that I think Kirsty Maccoll was an all time great singer/songwriter who deserves and continues to deserve more recognition.

I also like what they did with “Are You Experienced”. 

Where’s Sorcerer? You could debate which one is better but there’s no question it’s a hell of an achievement in white-knuckle action filmmaking.

Oh yeah he’s in peak form in that movie. 

Play Me The Song of Death kinda fits honestly, especially with Bronson’s character’s whole backstory.
