DC native here. We can cause our own traffic jam without any outside help, thank you very much.
A few years ago, I was at Costco and they were giving away samples of Kirland branded caviar. However, there was no one crowded around the stall. But they were at the pizza bagel stall and others. So it was just me enjoying something I don’t eat often (if ever) because it’s expensive.
