I liked Fury a lot and this movie was so boring I ended up folding laundry and checking my phone while watching it. I’d probably watch his version if it drops on HBO Max but there is such a backlog of movies coming out now (and that the office will reopen soon so no day watching) that my dance card will be full.

Partial Liability?!? Does that mean that you can’t fix the car until both insurance companies agree to it (ie get the money to fix it)? If I was a bean counter at an insurance company, I would only be liable up to 90% because 10% savings on X number of claims will add up to paying that company jet.

There needs to be a counter-deep fakes profession. As deep fakes get more realistic, you need to have someone who can disprove it if a malicious actor decides to blackmail you or create a scandal.

I think Goyer is partially right with consistency. After making a good movie, the follow ups either become really campier (Shumacher’s Batman) or edgier (see Syderverse).

Is the issue here really about making a suspect do something that can incriminate him? Would that be akin to making a suspect go get a dna swab but they have to pay for it themselves and then bring it to the police?

My god! did not realized chimps are that homicidal. And humans have them as pets or companions.  I remember reading about a lady’s chimp companion who just one day gouged her eyes out and ripped our her hands.
