I don’t know why these console makers don’t do tiered pricing. Set the expectation to the audience from the very beginning that from Nov - Jan, the price is XX. I think....I think why this didn’t succeed was that Joel S was trying to do his signature humor ala Robocop, Starship Trooper, etc. but do it for the whole movie and bring it down to PG-13.  If he was making a Deadpool movie, I think his style would have worked.
