HBOMAX should really harness DC IP especially the Vertigo Imprint.  They really knocked it out with Watchmen series.

I guess that 1) HBO Max need subs. 2) There is a backlog of movies that will come out into a crowded market that revenues per movie won’t be as large. 3) Overseas theaters are open this type of movie pulls in about 2/3 of its revenue overseas. and 4) WB needs revenue, any kind of revenue and WW1984 will pull in more…
