Hey, stop whaling on the guy
Hey, stop whaling on the guy
So, you just *had* to create this comment thread, and fillet with corny humour. Well, you better clam up or somebody’s liable to get crabby.
It was a real slam lunk.
I was fishing for groans.
Even if you think it’s crappie, I bet there’s salmon out there who lakes it.
You know as well as anyone that Kotaku isn’t just about reporting the goddamn news. I don’t read everything on the site, mostly because not everything interests me. Perhaps you should consider that other people might enjoy something you don’t, and just let them enjoy it. Thanks for the tasteless comment.
I’m currently where you were at with ACNH before. My ex left me in May and I’ve not had the desire nor need to revisit our island. I know all our villagers will ask me about them and I still can’t deal with that. It was their decision to buy the game in the first place and they poured a lot of their time into building…
I don’t have anything poignant to add, so I’ll just say it was a lovely article.
Something Awful produced a wild amount of humor and culture for decades and had a massively outsized influence for a long time. It was a place where I learned a lot about writing, about politics and some other things.
Except soon it won’t really make a difference, because many physical games these days are becoming licenses on a disc and basically useless without an internet connection to validate/patch.
there’s a reason Nook & Co are operating on islands in the middle of nowhere.
I’ve been waiting for this type of article ever since the Direct. Your boss paying you in currency you can only use to buy things from your boss is just insane!
That’s what I did for my wife last Christmas. There were a few villagers she wanted for her island and I just ordered coins of them from Etsy. Much cheaper and easier than buying packs.
People still buy the cards? I thought that everyone who wanted them (at least, those who aren’t collectors) just made their own with NFC tags you can get from Amazon. That’s what I did.
Isn’t the incentive to actually try supposed to be because you love decorating tho
What is it with you people. You just think games media should pretend that emulation doesn’t exist?
Hey, here’s a fun fact: Metroid Dread has been out for less than two weeks and it’s already become by far the best selling game in the franchise. Which is strange, because a bunch of weird nerds on here kept assuring me that its sales had been fatally crippled thanks to one Kotaku article.
I know this is a hot take, but why can’t we have titty in games while also treating female employees with respect? Being more inclusive of women in game design and development would probably reduce the objectification of women just by natural evolution.
eh, half of all art made before the photograph was invented was commissioned by horny dudes to hang in their home. the other half was commissioned by the church to make people think hell would be really, really bad.
So they’re going the demonize the body and demonize sexuality route. Sexuality is not objectification, and acting like an ally of the would-be ‘80s and ‘90s theocratic movement isn’t “progressive.” Sexual jokes and innuendo aren’t bad on thier own. Making a tongue in cheek pun about testicles isn’t terrible, nor would…
