Then he dropped the ball. The question, at this stage of the Too Online Era, is how to clean up the mess.

Oh I hear you. Grim Dawn is very technical, I suspect it’s really designed for M/K. Still worth scoping out, but it may not be super accessible if you’re living with chronic wrist pain

I mean

It’s really weird that Outriders isn’t a live service game, yet continually runs into issues that you would normally only associate with live service titles.

Ah yes Perfect World Entertainment, everyone loves to hear that an intellectual property is left in their perfectly competent totally not game destroying warm blanket of mediocrity, price manipulation and being bad at being... bad. Good thing he wrote a goodbye letter because if PWI picks up Torchlight it’s to turn it

I encourage you to check out Grim Dawn if you’re looking for a well made take on the ARPG genre

Yeah kind of what I think. I think The Elder Scrolls slowly gained more and more people playing from Morrowind to Oblivion to Skyrim which and that seemed to coincide with dumbing it down from game to game (note every generation having the “bUt ThEy ToOk tHiS OuT” crowd), but Skyrim just seemed dull to me. Maybe what

This game ultimately disappoints (and I am glad I didn’t buy it). The annoying narration is enough for me to probably never play the game. Such a ill-informed decision to make by any game developer.

I literally broke down why I disagreed with everything you said, even as your position changed from “children shouldn’t see this stuff,” to “they need to call it what it is!” And that didn’t work. So why should anyone else try?

You still haven’t demonstrated why the sexy lady dancing at the pool would be harmful to

We get it. You had a very repressed childhood. It’s OK.

Is going to your neighborhood swimming pool also Softcore Porn in your world?

Because it’s relatively easy filler to design/implement into a game to fluff up hours, which for some reason the industry and consumer base still places a high emphasis on.

I think my biggest problem from this, is that it means it’s going to be harder for people to find information regarding any issues their looking for.

Most of the problems I’ve had with PC gaming, I could at least find forum posts detailing the problem with solutions or at least experiences that tell me my issue aren’t

It really doesn’t, aside from replacing their server bill with a cheaper one. Discord is great for group chats and the like but it absolutely fucking blows for longform discussion, especially if you have more than like a dozen people.

From what I can tell, Discord is just a specialized chat room, right? How does that even remotely replace a forum?

Did you read the article?
Reverse engineered code is not piracy. Also, to be able to play GTA with this code you still need the original game.
Reporting on developers making unlawful DMCA claims is certainly important, which is what this is really about.

Kind of along these lines, I’ve often wondered what the endgame is for racists/white supremacists. Like, what do you want out of this? Re-enslavement? Re-segregation? Mass deportation of non-whites? None of these extreme outcomes are even remotely realistic. So why not just, you know, decide to live with people and

Nothing was more annoying with social spaces in games where you can’t really be social. On console in particular you just know no-one in those spaces is going to have a mic so they just feel barren and empty (see The Tower in Destiny 1) while on PC with MMOs they’re huge but then all the action is in only one useful

Reaffirms my decision to go with a PS5 and Switch for consoles and then a PC. There is so little reason for an Xbox to exist. Just build a modest gaming PC and you have basically an Xbox but all the utility and flexibility of the PC as well.

Well... I heard Torchlight 3 wasn’t very good.  And this just adds more confirmation that we aren’t going to be getting a proper Torchlight sequel ever again.   Torchlight: Idle Tycoon: Dungeon clicker!   here we come..
