Whenever I’m laying in bed and watching on video on youtube in the morning, my cat comes over and BITES ME, as if to say, “Turn that dumb shit off.” She only does this when I watch videos on my phone, the little shit.

IIRC, he was diagnosed with manic depression/bi-polar disorder years ago. It's not uncommon for people with that issue (and other mental illnesses) to seek out "relief" through self-medication, which is likely what led him down the road of drug and alcohol addiction.

This is just so, so sad. He was such an amazing man, but depression can be a terribly difficult beast.

I downloaded one of those cat apps for Hollycat, but she was not interested. If I play "Happy Happy, Joy Joy" via youtube on my phone? She will charge across the apartment to rub her head on the phone as hard as possible and purr away.
