The problem with your argument is that the president can’t just fix it without Congressional support. While I agree with the intent behind DACA and appreciate that Obama’s hands were tied, it was a band-aid and it’s ongoing application depended on like-minded executives keeping it alive.
DACA is a deeply flawed policy (in as much as it hasn’t been encoded as law, leaving it vulnerable) that Obama enacted following Congress’s failure to pass the Dream Act.
She was hired to be a face of L’Oreal, not it’s mouthpiece. If what she had to say was off brand, they were right to have fired her.
