I'm looking forward to those moments with my niece. She just turned two and discovered the joy of poop jokes though, so we have a while to go yet.

One of my most still-randomly-upvoted comments is one pointing out that a whole sentence ends several words early in a review. And they never fixed it! It's just there, a forever mystery.

Doctor Doom was a significantly better leader.

Look Mrs LA. If we just shift these goalposts a little farther…

I would say she isn't really hard fantasy or sci-fi. Deep with her concepts, but you aren't reading paragraphs of made up languages or anything. She's pretty accessible.

It doesn't matter how they see it. They are restricting women's rights. Please look at the % of women holding seats in the Republican party and tell me it isn't a cabal of powerful men. I'm talking about people with actual power here.

This shtick is tough to make work in threads about Trump supporters.

My parents gave me bible stories for kids, but also made the mistake of leaving me to run wild in the library to take out books about Greek and Norse and Japanese and Native Canadian myths and I figured it was all pretty much the same. Take that, parents and library with no book limit!

All the celebrities I met while working in entertainment, with only a couple exceptions, were pretty intolerable to be around. I think most humans need a certain amount of people around them just not taking their shit.

Like, Maximum Overdrive?

Why would you do that to yourself, extraterrestrial babby Jesus?

I'm a Dramione fan, myself.

I find Hanlon's Razor applicable in a lot of situations, but the Sandy Hook deniers are a blend of malicious and stupid that defies belief.
