Sure. Off the top of my head Specialized and Trek make great commuting/utility bikes for ~$350 new. If you go right about now most bike shops are getting rid of their inventory for the new season which starts in the fall, meaning you can get pretty good deals.

Also if you’re riding for any seriousness or distance don’t buy a POS Schwinn. Go on Craigslist and pick up an older road/utility/townie/mountain/whatever bike for the same amount. It will last for forever. My dad still has his 30 year old Giant mountain bike and it still works (basically)
