But if all of a sudden Britain and France decide that they don't need southern cotton, they'll get it from India and Egypt sans slaves what do you do with the slaves? The Raid is a fun movie, but I just don't think it did anything as good as Dredd. I enjoyed the lead better as well as the atmosphere in Dredd.

She wasn't miscast, but she was written poorly. She's totally ambivalent about the Rebellion until the plot requires her not to be. It makes it hard to care about her character. Contrast that to Kassian, who is more subdues and has a better character arc and you can see why she failed to connect.
