Can you imagine if a cheeto orange was the color of the year. That would be fantastic. (and emotionally devastating.)

Well, I guess they didn’t follow Time magazine’s lead and go with orange.

I’d like to know what entrance to the internet he took to get to that section where they inoculate you against facts? Where you just trust random people online, who have no proof of anything they say.

They cling to their guns and religion and we end up with a circus peanut for President.

Get to this place? Get? Have you not paid attention to the last 200 years of American history? We’ve been there for a very long time!

I am genuinely shocked that this would happen in DC. If it was a cab and not an Uber, most cabs in DC are driven by immigrants.

Sooooo much this. People are so freaked out about Atheists not having any morals, but that hasn’t stopped religious people from being assholes for over a millennium!

The type of people who sue private schools for expelling their snowflake child are the type to teach them money and power can solve all problems, and consequences don’t exist.

My guess is the parents had a role in shaping this behavior.

Yea, no shit! It’s a private school so I am assuming at the beginning of the year, EVERY YEAR you and your shitty kid have to sign a contract saying that you are a representative of that school and if your child violates a code of conduct they can be expelled.

In September, 32 girls in Chicago went on a religious retreat together. By November, their text message chain was riddled with racial slurs that got five of them suspended or expelled from their high school

I got internally huffy when I read her remarks in Shrill, but then I remembered what sort of comments used to show up on her posts. In fact, you can go back and look at them. I really can’t blame her. When I read student reviews, for example, the ones that really stick with me are the awful, nasty ones—the ones that

Seriously? Commenters ARE horrible quite a lot of the time—even here. Can you really blame her?

How long have you been carrying that chip on your shoulder? It seems heavy.

She was one of the best dirtbag writers Jezebel will ever have had. Like laugh out loud funny! What she does on twitter is invaluable.

So cool! Still miss Lindy around here.

This is how we made grilled cheeses when we were kids, and I can attest that it is good, but it’s not life-changing.

eh i stopped worrying about the long term and am focusing on the lil things in the short term instead (like.. its winter... that means i get to have a good shot of baileys in my coffee first thing in the morning... always makes me feel better about the day)

I’ve read all the reasons why people can legit forget their kids are in the car. Still don’t get it. I moved halfway across the country this summer and blasted across three states with hardly any stops (except overnight in a pet-friendly motel) because my two cats were with me. If I had to stop to rest/eat, I did it

My mother came from the same school of impatient thought as you and now I’m 35 and live on sandwiches and cereal. Let people be crap in the kitchen - it’s the only way they learn! I am an expert table-setter though so...
