I think people tend to forget that we weren’t privy to all the details of every celebrity, every lawsuit, etc. back in the day. Early internet/pre-TMZ days was a whole different world versus today.

Well, to be fair, should the women / victims be the ones who skip being recognized for their work? I get that they make gobs of money but if any of the female actors were harassed on the job, I just don’t see how demanding that they not show up to the awards enacts any kind of justice.
Well that seems like a reasonable comparison.
I have heard parents say things that lead me to believe that they think their children should never experience anything negative—no one should tell them no, they should never be scared, never cry, nothing. I be some of them would love a version of this technology.
