FINALLY, an opening.

Please. Ask me about my cats.

He is a beautiful human being, and a wonderful American. Go, President Carter, go!

I really love Jimmy Carter. He's just such a thoroughly decent, genuine human being. His statement about leaving the Southern Baptist Convention because of the sexism in its theology was wonderfully inspiring. Also, if you go to his childhood home, there is a store that sells peanut butter ice cream, as if you didn't

Handy *snatching*

I dislike all pretentious people, regardless of gender.

I don't agree with that last sentence. This whole "bitches be jealous" idea simplifies an issue that is sooooooo much more complicated. The rest of what you wrote I do agree with though - women are held to a higher moral standard than men, no doubt about it.

I thought about asking w00master why he/she cares so much that you say you don't care (but you really do care) but then I felt like things would turn into something akin to a Comment Inception really quickly.

I read the article hoping to maybe find a reason to care, and in the end, I ended up caring the same (almost none.) I'm sorry, I really did try to care. I generally like caring. Caring is sharing (or is it sharing that's caring? I forget.)

I read lots of articles about things/topics I don't particularly care about. To keep current because someone is going to talk about it. To pass the time while work is slow as I am trapped in a cubicle for 8 plus hours a day. I may or may not comment based on how busy my life is at any given moment.

So what you're saying is we're all just jealous? The hell with that. I dislike most of the women on this list for the same reason — they're insufferable, uneducated phonies — and I have never dreamed of having their lives. Frankly, mine is better.

Was totally on board with everything until that last sentence.

That "conscious uncoupling" thing isn't a word salad of her making; it's something spouted by an obnoxious relationship expert who does whole workshops on how to have the best divorce ever. Think "the secret," but with more veneers.

A school in a city just outside Lynchburg, home of Liberty University, pulls this shit? Excuse me while I try to find my "surprised" expression.

I think it'd be easy to criticize the school but, in fairness, I think we all remember that bit in the bible when Jesus, dying on the cross, says "One last thing before I go, remember to be complete and total dicks to innocent little kids whenever you have the chance. Peace out, losers."

Is it bad commenting etiquette if I reply "bump" like 17 times?

My finger hovered over the dismiss button, but you know, discourse. Here's the thing, I'm going to completely skip that overwrought "self reports of women" bit and focus on the cat-calling bit instead. Cat-calling isn't about desire. It isn't even about attraction. It's about power, a little like what you're trying
