It’s not anthropomorphic. Most of the horses I’ve ridden try to outpace another horse on a casual gallop around the hay field. This certainly goes for most horses with race training (OTTBs). Hell, my little Morgan pitched a fit on Sunday when I wouldn’t let him blow by another horse out on a hack.

Good to know I'm not alone in thinking this.

I do disagree that one is more important than the other. Both issues are very important. It's not essential that one be more than the other. What is important is that reproductive rights (choice, health, etc.) are expanded and strengthened. Hell for that matter, lgbt rights have a way to go.

I’m not in total disagreement but I think it’s worth noting that the status is more far-reaching than a club. Civil marriage confers many legal and financial benefits that are not available to unmarried folks (think taxation, beneficiaries, medical decisions).
