Yeah, I was talking to a mechanic friend about that, and that's what he said. I just hadn't thought of it that way.

Holy shit, those World Rally Cars are as tough as nails.
Other fuel-saving features will include a start/stop system, cylinder deactivation...
I've always said that if Nissan put tires as sticky as the Z06/ZR1 tires on the GT-R, it would do amazing things. I can't wait to see what the NISMO edition does to the Green Hell.
I thought so. During my time with it, though, it was on. :(
Meh, I'd rather blip the throttle myself.
Grrr. I drove a NISMO Edition about a week ago, and the rev-match shit was the thing that bugged me the most.
This is pure awesome. I've offhandedly dreamt of doing the same with my 1987 Sentra. I've got a very strong attachment to my car. I see that Morris is the same way. Good on him.
CL63, my friend. The SLS is the one with the fancy doors.
I'm guessing so. But there's still a little bit of hope. Remember Lewis Hamilton's Pagani Zonda 760LH was indeed equipped with a proper manual gearbox.
Don't forget about this funny looking Ford-powered British contraption!
What is hidden beyond this mysterious "710" lid?
My car has all but 2 of these things. 2.5 if you want to count number seven, camshafts, as a half, considering I don't have plural camshafts. The only things I'm missing are OBD2 and factory infotainment.
I guess that's one way of getting suicide doors...
Very interesting. I suppose when it comes to hydrogen, I look at it through rose-colored glasses. I mean, "hydrogen power" sounds a lot more romantic than "rotting-pile-of-shit power".
I get the feeling that I probably shouldn't see the rest.
Best. Fridge. Ever.
Yeah, I love the Model S. There are a bunch of them roaming around up here in Northern Oregon. I just love the idea of hydrogen being renewable. Especially when you consider where the electricity comes from that you're using to charge a Model S (or Leaf or whatever). I suppose the same argument can be made for how we…
I find this one to be a total bummer.
Camshafts.
