Having seen Big Hero 6 over the weekend, this does not surprise me. Does it hit ever single superhero origin trope? Yeah (but it acknowledges this). Is it also glorious fun, solid story-telling, and still pitch-perfect emotionally when it needs to be? Absolutely YES.
