I have to defend the movie on a weekly basis. My girlfriend refuses to count it as part of the franchise. She likens it to when Bo and Luke’s cousins showed up in Dukes of Hazzard.

His accent (which is his actual accent) is considered spot on by people who knows or speak Alabama accent or to be specific Northern Alabama accent. (His character is noted to live in Alabama before moving to New Orleans)

His accent actually decent (well, it is his actual accent) in NCIS New Orleans.
