If I don't screw it up, this is true ;)

Humourless implies there was humour to begin with. You're just not funny. My reaction to you doesn't say anything about my sense of humour, but it says a lot about your skills. As for policing it, I wasn't aware telling you when you're rude and inaccurate was 'policing'. I guess someone is oversensitive to being

" I love my daughter but damn I was not ready for that news."

Agreed.

You too :)

Sorry, misunderstood where you mentioned the age 14 as the drinking age.

Thanks. I'll be alright in about 19 years ;)

Or it's not denial at all. I got pregnant after my period had been stopped for 3 months. I wouldn't have any clue I was pregnant at all if I didn't compulsivly take tests if it stops for over 2 months. I was sick as a dog ALREADY when I got pregnant - I'd been vomiting twice or three times a day. I'd already had

Firstly, you're being presumptuous. Secondly, the 'pee on a stick' doesn't always work. At all. Thirdly, it's perfectly possible for a woman to have an easy pregnancy. Many, many women go through hell being pregnant - and many don't even notice. Fourthly, the 'supposedly' was unnecessary, and rude.

Agreed.

They're just small leaches on society, and need to get jobs.

There's always about 25% of any given population that will overuse the stuff if given access to it (I think. I read about it one time and I won't swear to it on the back of that). The fact it's legal at 14 reduces controls on introducing teenagers to it at a sensible place, just accelerating the 'WOO! DRINKING AGE!

Hypocracy: My favourite thing.

Spelling and gramatical errors aside (I'm dyslexic and in pain, give me a break), the point still stands. Also looking at the research, it isn't very sound.

That doesn't really work. This evidence may look good, but it doesn't account for what we see around the world - in nations with very little taboo about alcohol consumption in children, the tendency to binge-drink in adulthood is pretty much not there. In countries like the UK, where there is a strong taboo, binge

People like to pretend that our 'mum, dad, kids' family model is the natural one. People forget it isn't. Families used to be much, much larger. Inclusive of grandparents, aunts, uncles. The whole famiyl would raise children - not mum and dad. Mum and dad alone is unnatural. Somehow, though, they muddle through. I

This always bothered me; then I got pregnant. Since then ignoring the affect of the pregnancy and saying 'just adopt it' has resulted at me foaming at the mouth. Pregnancy is one of the single worst experiences of my life and I haven't given birth yet. I can't imagine forcing a woman to do this if she doesn't want the

Women using abortion as contraception are EXTREMELY rare. EXTREMELY. Between the prohibitive cost, the danger of the procedure, the emotional trauma, and the stigma, almost no women think 'fuck it, I'll just get an abortion later'. The abortion queen is a myth; the reasons women have abortions are manyfold and

It really is adorable with older cats teahcing younger ones.

That's adorable. Well and truly adorable. Also true. Humans are adaptive. We don't need to be a specific gender to fill a specific role.
