Yeah, Mint is super “free” with all their advertising and probably selling of all my financial data. Their rollout has been handled incredibly poorly, and I am super angry at them, but why dump a really good product because they managed this transition in a really shitty way? I haven’t seen a budgeting app that works

Even janitors get the blues.

fwiw, bars in Raleigh have had a pretty solid history of racism/discrimination against non-white patrons. Though this is true everywhere, I suppose.

Recall this as former resident, casual googling brings up: http://jezebel.com/5919562/black-…

On a tangential note: this is pretty rational if you, a University, think of yourself as existing indefinitely instead of thinking of yourself as say, a finitely lived household/human. Deficit spending is ok for governments and other indefinitely lived entities, not so much for finitely lived ones.

Props because he makes sure to get the football across the goal line first so it’s a TD regardless of his execution.

UPS lost a bike I shipped to my girlfriend. Just disappeared, they told me. I was like, it’s an entire bike! It doesn’t just fall through a crack in the truck or something. UPS can go to hell.

This is a two way street. Ads went unchecked for a while, and it became insufferable because there was no way to counter them literally overwhelming the experience of using the web. I’d be ok with ads if they didn’t so significantly alter my experience. But when it’s impossible to even find the content, or when a 1

Completely disagree. And if you can’t fill a dishwasher, I’m assuming you either live alone or with only one other person, but imagine a meal for 4 every night/morning. Also, stop washing your dishes by hand, it’s a huge waste of water.

Never mind the fact that you’re less likely to have a dishwasher if you’re poor. I couldn’t afford an apartment with one in grad school, and I still don’t have one. Which is not insurmountable to handle for me and my gf, but can often be the most time-intensive part of cooking.

I thought in DC “bike lane” was just code for “loading zone.” That’s how all the cars I see use them anyway. Uber drivers are especially bad about this. Anyway, not sure how a bike lane helps on that road, but I’ve never ridden it at a busy time I guess.

If people love handouts so much, how come we can’t get that good welfare flowing?

That’s a crazy idea. So if we removed the gun from this situation, the 8 year old girl would have died anyway? http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/08/us/… What about Sandy Hook? If homeboy didn’t have a Bushmaster, twenty 7 year olds would have been killed in 5 minutes?

A start would be if gun owners would just admit how

This is a really all over the place argument. I don’t give a shit how effective drunk driving laws are, and the simple existence of cases in which they don’t help doesn’t really account for all the cases in which they do. Your argument is: premise - no one follows the law. Conclusion - we should not have laws. That’s

Good point, the only real use for a gun is to shoot people you don’t like. You sound like a responsible gun owner.

I don’t really understand your point. The problem is that there is never a tragedy that really counts for gun owners. Guy shoots a bunch of women because he couldn’t get laid? Just a crazy person, no need to do anything about guns. Guy shoots up a bunch of folks near a school? Could just be a drug deal, no need to

Did not recall saying we should ban guns...my point is that there is kind of a “no true scotsman” issue with gun defenders. Either a shooting doesn’t count against the complete lack of gun control because the shooter was crazy, OR it doesn’t count because the shooter was just involved in the ho hum of criminal

Good deflection: If it’s a “school shooting” we get to minimize it as the work of a “crazy person. If it’s a “drug deal/fight/robbery,” it’s just criminals, also not a real concern. When, exactly, are we allowed to be concerned about guns?

Isn’t offering that lenient a plea deal the prosecution tipping its hand that they have nothing? I mean, “Here, plead guilty and you only have to do one day of community service,” just sounds desperate to try to get the guilty plea...

HAHAHAHHAA you think you and your beer buddies could stop a fucking pogrom in this country? You think a pogrom would EVER happen? You think people in Russia didn’t have guns? How delusional are you? The country bumpkin St. Louis County PD rolled into Ferguson with this:

Interesting that without said tool, killing 10 people in 5 minutes isn’t nearly as easy, convenient, and probably not possible regardless of mental illness.
