Yes, it is too much to ask. Developing for another system costs time and money that they either don't have or the publisher doesn't want to pay for. Why? Because people don't game on Macs and the market is too small.

I like fraps due to its very low compression recording. I can get great quality videos using it along with a free program like Virtual Dub and/or Handbrake. A lot of people still use Fraps because they bought it long ago.

Pretty spot-on. Supposedly, it's all supposed to coalesce into one big mega game once all of the pieces are done. Kind of a weird way to make a game... but things seem to be working for them so far.
