I feel like this area right here makes up for some, if not all, of this car’s design sins. It’s just...sensual.

Very well said, and I can relate, my spoken Chinese is superior to my written (obviously we share many characters, albeit with different pronunciations and, often, meanings). I’ll be endeavoring to study a Master’s Degree in international relations about a year from now, so I’ll need to be pretty much fluent by then.…

My loose (but improving) grasp of Chinese has landed me in similar predicaments. Alas, it is a risk that you take when living abroad. The best bet is always to take it on the chin and keep it in mind for next time around, which is exactly what you seem to be doing.
