Irish person here. ‘Paddy’ is slur by that is only really acceptable if another actual Irish person says it in a joking way. If an English person or an American calls an Irish person a ‘Paddy’ or a ‘Mick’ or a ‘Taig’ in a pejorative way it’s still pretty offensive and Hibernophobic.
