Getting the Electric Lady onto this series is inspired.
They are definitely a real thing.
Right here in Vancouver.
Permanent art installment at English Bay in Vancouver, BC.
I don’t know, I sort of hope not on the soulmate question. I don’t really like that kind of determinism. And just in-show, like you suggest, it mostly seems to be another element of how Michael screws with them.
She could take the train back to the neighborhood without Eleanor and Chidi (or whoever else). Michael wouldn’t be able to reboot her, because he wouldn’t know where his missing humans were, and if he rebooted her, neither would Janet. She could then conjure up a bunch of cocaine, and take it back with her to Mindy’s…
Plus, we still don’t know if her Ride or Die protocol is still running!
Never put off until the season finale, that which you can do in the next cold opening.
Late to this (and let’s see if the notifications work), but yes, I’m not happy too, I was afraid that last season’s bisexual declaration was treated as a joke, which is not very respectful. But Schur used to do the same with “Leslie is in love with Ann” jokes, although in that case it was more clearly framed as…
Tahini, Cheeto, Jerome, Busty Alexa...
(she agrees)
Megan Amram tweeted out an “abridged” list of her restaurant puns for this episode and it is so glorious that I might have to form a religion from it with this as the founding document.
Yes, that’s been obvious for the last ten months or so.
It’s interesting that they only hook up about half the time and only got sappy once in ~15 times they made it to the Medium Place. That gives me some hope the show isn’t going in the standard direction/is going for a subversion of hooking up the leads.
You mean... Vicky should get a bigger part?
By now it should be obvious....they know you shippers exist, they know what you want, and they are never, ever going to give it to you, electing instead to insert one tease in each episode that almost goes there but not quite.
(deep sigh) Thank you.
Tahini, still under the impression that she’s in The Good Place, did not have to worry about being sent to the Bad Place at that point last year. She would not be caught dead in a Medium place.
If ever one of you guys gets to interview Schur or someone involved with this show, I would be fascinated to learn just how long it took to shoot this episode. Because the sheer number of set ups and wardrobe changes necessary for all those iterations of The Good Place must’ve been time consuming, yet so worth it.
As a New Englander, I’m glad that they used New England clam chowder in the fountain (cuz the Manhattan one is nonsense), but I am offended how much Eleanor insulted the chowda.
