Ooh, definitely! The disappearing/reappearing wounds were a motif there as well.

I don't know why the pessimism hit me so hard, but it did. Probably because I was really happy to see a 3/4 female science team...and given the rather spotty track record, I had a sinking feeling after the first early repetition of, "it's a long story."

I don't think I'm twisting things, but I do agree that your latter comment is a fair point. That guy being the first to go was predictable because he was quickly painted as a glutton and possible letch (but that's not a great character, either). And I was pleasantly surprised that all the women dreamers made it out.

Fair points. There's just been so much frustration in female STEM field characters in Who that I had that chip on my shoulder going in. If it hadn't leapt to the forefront of my mind early on, I probably wouldn't have read it that way, at least not so strongly.

I really enjoyed about 70% of it. Then the "I work in a shop" convo started, and my lurking cringe-fear turned out to be the case: Of course the 3/4 female science team was all just a dream. *headdesk*

In case no one posted this already in response to the Star Trek muttering that they wanted it more like GotG and thought they could have a character like Rocket.

1) This should have billyuns and billyuns of stars.

"Hmm... No flying cars yet? I'm gonna hit the snooze button."

Down came dear old T-Rex Claus!

Bumper crop of eyes from Grandma.

Put yourself in my wheels, jerkwad.

Invasion thwarted, Earth has rings now.

At least at first, when he's a kid. But later it's been upgraded with that super modern alien tech - and gradually so over the years, so it's not an abrupt change that he wouldn't like and oh my glob I'm thinking about this too much.

Space magic. I mean, alien technology. To maintain or improve the tape, the ship tape deck, and the Walkman.

That last bit is how I am going to sing all Christmas carols from now on. Also may apply to "Happy Birthday"...and every other song in existence.

That would be AMAZING. Especially if it ended up with Trickster Jr caught and then they realize that OG Trickster has made an escape.

The next Bond movies will be a 2-parter, in keeping with current cash-grab trends. SPECTRE, Part 1: Out of the Shadows. SPECTRE, Part 2: Into the Light.

I wish they'd found someone more substantial and immediately physically imposing for Arrow as well. By this point, though, the actress is doing a good job with her scenes, so at least there's that.
