Anyone know if this project is/was related to the book "Beauty" by Robin McKinley?

The Conjoiners from Alastair Reynolds' Revelation Space books sound like an example of Noocracy/the Noosphere. At least as far as I can tell/remember from the stories. Anyone agree or think this is off?

Whoops. That particular one must have been from my younger brother's class. He came across some old school papers recently and there was Latin stuff, thought it was mine but guess not!

My Latin teacher gave us some fun pop culture lines to translate and get us into thinking about figuring out context and intent along with accurate translation. I remember one list that he had made up in Latin that included, "Oh my God, they killed Kenny! You bastards!" (This was circa 1994 in a US high school.)

Oh oh oh OH. Laika making The Graveyard Book would be so perfect.

My thoughts as well. Though I internally balance it with the fact that The Doctor triggers major and usually dangerous changes when he pushes things like that.

Me, too. But Eva Green's presence makes up for a lot of my waned enthusiasm.

I like this a lot. The style, the escalation, the details - I also just like asymmetricial robots.

I just have to say, excellent note about Brosnan. I didn't know he was considered for Bond before Remington Steele (which I loved), and yeah, it's great that he was able to get the Bond gig when he did.
