I’m trans, someone who knows this and uses he/him pronouns for me is making a political choice. Same with someone who uses she/her for me. Everything is political. Yes, litterally everything including whatever petty counterexample you or whoever replies to this comment will bring up.  Learn that or stop posting

Bruce Lee. An 80s game that I spent countless hours playing on my Atari 800 XL. Ah the memories.

God, I really hope not, because this sounds interesting otherwise. The premise just makes me cringe a bit.

“A new left wing government comes to power”

I saw this when it was first released as a kid and I cannot overstate how much impact it had. The combination of the astonishing special effects, the great photography in live shots, and the streamlined plot were astounding.

I think JP works better because it's CGI was very limited, so you don't notice when it doesn't age well. Whereas Avatar is almost all CGI and shows its age very openly. The better CGI gets, the worse big CGI scenes age.

T2 was only 7 years after the original. T3 was 12 after that, but it wasn’t good.

Oh thank god.  I thought it was going to be something bad.

Mine is straight... does that mean I’m weird or going to die?

If they’ve hacked the PoS system, does it really make a difference if you pay inside?

I think the lack of any comprehensive backstory or even much exposition between the characters or to the audience is part of the charm of the series. It reminds me of how the story is hidden in the Dark Souls games. Like when Max tells Furiosa if they keep going that direction all they’ll find is salt. Implying that th

Yes, but in 1981 people would have said the exact same thing about The Road Warrior.

I think white supremacy also got a boost thanks to him.

Fantasy Island and The Love Boat were back-to-back shows for many years. Friday night 9-11 on ABC (IIRC).

For the record: me too

And Dukes of Hazzard & Chips. And Sha Na Na.

Saturday nights were awesome!

Yeah, I sometimes wonder if The Game with Michael Douglas was a really sophisticated episode of Fantasy Island.

The original Fantasy Island TV movies made no secret of how creepy the whole thing was. That was part of it. They only started presenting a more sanitized version of it later on.
