I describe libertarians as “Republicans who realize homophobia isn’t cool anymore.”
I describe libertarians as “Republicans who realize homophobia isn’t cool anymore.”
I find most people in the US who describe themselves as “libertarian” basically mean “Republican, but not willing to admit it”
Bill has gone the route of so many before him who turn into right wing assholes when they get old and won’t admit it.
Is that supposed to be a hard question to answer?
He’s not on your side and he’s certainly not on liberals’ side. He’s one of the chief anti-vaxxers who can’t stop showering Netanyahu with praise, vehemently hates Muslims, supports restricting immigration, and stacks his panels with discredited right wingers. He’s a hack who has been making the exact same three…
The worst part about Bill Maher’s show is Bill Maher.
Lorde, please make more music.
I once again recommend the podcast series if anyone is really clamoring for more Orphan Black. Tatiana narrates the first season and for the second season nearly the entire cast comes back. It’s as good as the series if not better.
“Fishes” is one of the most stressful things I’ve ever watched. As excellent as it was, I think maybe an hour at a time of The Bear is too much.
The first two seasons of Barry it was definitely a dark comedy. The third season of Barry was just dark. The fourth season I’m not even sure wtf was going on.
“Forks” was a genuinely remarkable episode of television, if only because it turned me around on Richie, a character I quite sincerely loathed for the first season and a half.
AV CLUB: “Fans of The Bear hate this character.”
Natalie Portman in “Garden State.” It’s basically a woman or girl who’s crazy, but the “good” kind of crazy, like it makes her free, helps the male lead reach his potential, free his mind, find happiness and/or love. And she’s only really considered crazy because society is so uptight, etc.
This is a pretty preposterous column. Starting with “one thing everyone can agree on” and then getting 30 comments that mention we all like Claire seems to show that speaking in hyperbole is usually a fail.
I mean she’s not a manic pixie dream girl, just like a well adjusted person in a show about being not that.
everyone whos complaining on here is fuckin stupid. The Fishes ep was great. Claire is great. Most of the season was.
Co-sign that. I’m happy for people that love it, but it crossed over into camp for us. The shouting!, the big speeches!, the self-face-slapping! (even the small moments felt BIG and telegraphic). Everyone turned up to 12 for an hour doesn’t give you anywhere to go. That said, I had problems with the whole season.…
I watched it in 3 days. It was fantastic.
I understand the reasoning behind this opinion, though I still marvel at people’s ability to watch more than one or two episodes of anything in a day.
I’ve been saying this forever—-I hate the Netflix (and similar streaming services) model of dumping every episode all at once. Its especially irritating when a AAA release like Stranger Things is released — you have to avoid any and all media sites (and twitter/SM sites) on the off chance that somebody is going to…
