Is he having to pay for the time in the chopper? That shit ain't cheap. Even when I was kid riding around in helicopters with my dad to survey newly planted trees for Weyerhaeuser (in the 80's) it was often several thousand dollars an hour to operate those machines.

No matter how you slice it, SRT royally F'd this up. I don't believe vipers are falling apart driving down the street. None of the owners I have spoken too have had any of these issues. For SRT to give them some kind of beaten up test car is just terrible.

ah. only a month ago...they might still be trying to get that markup. In texas you have tomball dodge so trying to sell a viper over msrp you really are hoping for some kind of ignorant viper buyer who doesn't have the interweb.

Remember this guy?

Is the car still there? If it is, I bet it's at msrp or less now.

If people are willing to pay it to be first.... It's called Manufacture's "Suggested" Retail Price. No one complains when it's 10k off of list. Not a story. Nothing to see here.

not sure i see the issue. the last thing i want when pulling up to a dealership is someone talking to me. I'm perfectly capable if I need of help of asking for it.

As someone that has a car with this 'feature', it's really not a big deal. You can make it not do it by going into neutral or revving the car past like 2.2k..at least on my car. If you aren't going to be revving past 2.2k anyway...might as well just shove it into 4th. When driving with a reason it never comes into

You can rent a 2013 srt viper through enterprise. I would take that to a track...hypothetically of course.

Sort of, but if you continue to apply that logic to things like F1 cars it begins to break down, imo. They are fast as shit and to an F1 driver probably handle great and it makes sense if you go to slow the brakes don't work and you crash and stuff. But, to almost everyone else the car would seem impossible to

If you don't think those two saabs you listed have torque steer issues you need to get out of you saab myopisphere. I wouldn't put them on the list as they are both too slow and too FWD to get you in trouble, unless you are trying to get yourself in trouble or were born with actual hams for hands, but they torque

You mean the one driven by a professional viper racer? That probably helps. Another thing about the car is it is very sensitive to tire pressures. A few pounds in the wrong the direction can be felt when going even moderately quickly. It's a lot of car for someone who's not a racing driver.

Chasing a lotus.

This is a picture a few days after I got it home from texas. Myself and our creative director at the time flew to Austin and then drove it home over the next 3 days. That was quite a battle.

Apparently I'm insane. Put almost 12k miles on my acr in a year and a half mostly to and from work. It would be a lot more but I have a short commute. I've done track days with it too. It's a pussy cat on the track.....a large, killer pussy cat with big claws and teeth.

I would add any year viper to this list as they are cheapish to own and operate and much more reliable when compared to many of the cars on this list.

also a hilariously terrible waste of my time. thankssssss.

Viper and corvette and on the lower end the frs/brz. I think the viper and brz may be the only two left exclusively manual.

the photoshop airbrushing is strong with this one
