@AlainChristian:disqus The problem is, it's the only half-hour network show in that time slot. You could give second-half bumps to Person Of Interest or The Secret Circle, I suppose.

The system ate some of our reviews last night—The League review should post sometime this morning.
I'm going with @avclub-7d640ca825f963b9fc36e0857c0b39e5:disqus on this one. However, for the sake of accuracy, we've edited the gratis starter referenced in the review.
Sorry about the lack of grade, all. And sorry that no one wins @avclub-3db41011acc2d229176bf6a92202728d:disqus 's 50 g.p.
@avclub-c404a5adbf90e09631678b13b05d9d7a:disqus Damn it! You're right. I was mostly trying to avoid a "Cold out"/"Coldplay" situation, and, feeling myself getting too clever, settled for the lesser joke.
Here's the link to the survey numbers, which should show up in the body of the article soon: http://investor.tivo.com/ph…
Damn, I meant to include the "discovered R&B" line in the stray observations. As far as Ava moments go, that was pretty good.
Hamlet's a stinker. Which is sad, because it's one of the last episodes, and you can really tell the Brains wanted it to work.
I went back and forth between Space Mutiny, Overdrawn At The Memory Bank, and Pod People when deciding on the "gateway." Like Pod People, I think OATMB has too many slow jags for a first-time viewer. It's definitely the source of some of my favorite riffs, though.
I totally forgot to mention Tompkins' impression of Wright, but it was definitely a highlight of the episode. Here's the full first sentence of Wright's IMDB bio, which is every part the purple prose-choked mess PFT makes it out to be:
Sean graciously allowed me to borrow the big "NO" stamp just this once.
Yeah, you'd think after spending a week with the show, I would've noticed that. Apostrophes eradicated; thanks for pointing it out.
Those of you who love "Transatlanticism" (the song) should definitely give "Unobstructed Views" a spin.
Like CarolineEAnd, my impression of Wilson in this episode was shaped by being in the audience for the taping. There was a playfulness in his interactions with Pegg that the audio alone doesn't convey.
It's funny, but I didn't have any to say about it beyond that.
I have that tendency as well, hence the confusion in the alt text.
I'll be recapping both, if only for the sheer curiosity factor.
Oh, it's been noted. For the sake of clarity, I was originally going to recap the episodes in the order they appear on the DVDs—but then I realized that the show itself is much easier to follow if you watch the episodes in the correct order. Here's where we'll go from here, as per the note from Apatow that was…
"Hugely popular", "funny, yet lovable"
"David Spade is a hugely popular comic talent who has created a funny, yet lovable, character in 'Joe Dirt,'" said Michael Wright, executive vp of programming for TBS.
Having recently made the transition from cheap beer to cheap gin, I'm partial to New Amsterdam. Makes a hell of a gimlet. But if I had unlimited funds, it'd be Bombay Sapphire all the way.
