You’re assuming that. Has anyone asked Cameron why his movies don’t have lots of tie-in merchandise and toys? Some intellectual properties come with a pre-attached merchandising opportunities. Not all movie do that. Not all movies need that.

Tell me about how successful the sequel to Blade Runner and the animated show were.

And add their collective box office intakes and Avatar still wins by a long haul. But why?

Tell that to people who have never seen Dances with Wolves, Pocahontas and Ferngully or whatever. I’m pretty sure most haven’t.
