Third row seats suck in the Highlander. Had one 5 years. Landcruiser third row are REAL seats. Pick them up and see. Very heavy.

I pulled mine out also. Never used them but easy to put back in, Kept in basement.

There is very little appreciable difference in the 100-200 series. Its more of a facelift. Put the tundra drivetrain in but VERY LITTLE difference. I would call it a major facelift and not a new model. Thanks for the info though.

Very reasonable in the long term Ultra reliable and last forever with routine maintenance. Thats how you need to look at them. I had two. Excellent machines, and I would buy promptly if a diesel became available with an 8-10 speed tranny. Needs updated badly but still a solid machine.

Current one came out about 1998-99 so thats a longer time period than 10 years. I had a 2000 and a 2006.

I have had two Landcruisers. They will run forever if you simply keep them clean and change the oil. Unbelievable reliable. But I hope no one here compares Mercedes and Lexus/Toyota reliability.
