We as liberals have such a narrow definition of racism that it doesn't allow us to actually fight real systemic racism.

Just because they can make an episode quickly doesn't mean their viewpoint is educated or worthwhile. Their nihilism and false-equivalency is maddening. It's only appealing to people who like to go out of their way to say "I'm not a Democrat OR a Republican, because both sides are just as bad!" They're not funny,…
You don't have to be a KKK member to be racist. Maher doesn't hate black people, and thinks he's helping, but doesn't actually care.
He and MacDonald are my two least favorite Weekend Update hosts by a long shot. And I'm including the awful Jost and Che in that last.
I'm so glad Maher is tearing down the barriers preventing Democratic success by saying the n-word on air. He is truly the bravest liberal warrior.
No they're not.
It's like he and Dennis Miller are mirror images of each other: they were both pretty meh comics from the '90s that found audiences by turning into awful caricatures of their respective political leanings following 9/11.
The "good" famous atheists don't think religion is something that must be viciously attacked from their sanctimonious high horse.
I'm not trying to destroy his career, I just don't think he ever should've had one to begin with because he's been peddling his toxic views for decades. There was never any worth to his career.
As much as I like Louis CK as a comedic actor, his standup is full of problematic shit like that.
Bill Maher is a racist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic piece of shit. He gives a bad name to atheists and liberals and he masks his criminal lack of comedic talent by yelling at conservatives and tricking similarly racist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic liberals into thinking he's great.
I think it's hard to compare Mad Max to all of the subsequent films, it's so different. It feels more like an exploitation horror movie. The ending is like something out of Saw.
But I live in the Bible Belt! And would very much like to not be fucked by tornadoes!
Given that it's a terrible movie with almost no fans or nostalgic effects, it HAD to have been intentional commentary. Because there's literally no other reason to show that turd of a movie.
The unfortunate thing about taking solace in that image is that you will ALSO be floating face down dead in a foot of water that's flooded inside of your shitty home.
My earliest memory of Star Wars is watching it on TV at my grandparents' house at age 6. My dad was explaining things about the series to me to get me interested in it, one of them being that Luke and Leia are twin siblings. During the final scene, when Luke, Han, and Chewy get medals, little 6 year old me thought…
I never got that 30 Rock reference! Thanks for sharing it!
Sans Johnny Depp. He's holding back the franchise. Even disregarding his general shittiness as a human being, his character should never have been the MAIN character, it just doesn't work.
Future generations will always mock the previous generations' style. Until that style comes back, and then it's all cool again.
Owing to my own historical ignorance, I didn't get the Robert Moses College for Whites Everyone joke at first, but I knew it was a reference to something and looked it up. Robert Moses, as I'm sure lots of New Yorkers already know, was a city planner in New York City in the first part of the 20th century and while…
